Amanda and Lydecke had a similar idea coming from two different clinics and two different role groups related to scheduling specialty referrals. They were excited to collaborate on this project to bring both perspectives together to create a solution for everyone. Their idea is to create a process to streamline and, where appropriate, automate communication between the primary care office, specialty office, and the patient when referrals are made by the primary care office and appointment confirmed. The ultimate goal is to create efficiency and more transparency for all stakeholders in the process and agency for the patient.
