HTL’s Associate Director, Dr. Jared Conley, shared his vision of a “A Hospital in Any Home” at NextMed Health in San Diego. Speaking at this annual gathering of leaders at the intersection of health and technology—Dr. Conley outlined a home-centered, hospital-supported model of acute care that improves care and does so at a more affordable cost (backed by several scientific studies). He shared how delivering hospital-level acute care in any home will be the future as technology accelerates and enables it. He highlighted real-world pathways to scale—initiating care at illness onset or once diagnoses are clarified—and the opportunity to address capacity constraints amid an aging population, including the work being done at Mass General Brigham and other national health systems across the country.
