HTL’s Associate Director, Dr. Jared Conley, contributes valuable insights on the intersection of technology and healthcare at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024 in Las Vegas. Joining a panel discussion (link) with industry leaders Hon Pak, Leslie Saxon, Ed Miller, and Eric Wicklund, Dr. Conley emphasized the potential of smart home innovation in revolutionizing health monitoring. Drawing parallels to the delayed recognition of smoking’s impact on health, he highlighted the opportunity for technology to further enhance our “sensing” of factors that generate health, including improving sleep measurement.
Dr. Conley also applauded advancements toward the tricorder concept, spotlighting Withings’ BeamO and emphasizing the ongoing efforts to consolidate health sensing into a singular device.
