Michael Senter-Zapata, MD
Innovation Fellow

Michael Senter-Zapata, MD – the newest addition to the HTL Innovation Fellowship Program – is a staff hospitalist in the Hospital Medicine Unit at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH). In the December issue of the Next Generation Brigham Clinical Research & News column, Mike shares the story of the creation of Code Blue, an app designed for trainees that could decrease code-related anxiety, decision fatigue, and cognitive load.

Since joining HTL this past summer, Mike has been working closely with his mentor, Dr. Jared Conley, to run a randomized control trial at the BWH STRATUS Center for Medical Simulation to assess the Code Blue’s app’s efficacy. Mike aims to publish the trial results in the spring of 2023 and later widely disseminate the app.
