Andrew Chu MD, MPH, MBA
Dr. Andrew Chu, a resident physician in the Harvard Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency (HAEMR) and concurrent innovation fellow at the MGH Healthcare Transformation Lab, is the recipient of the Massachusetts Medical Society’s 2022 Information Technology Award.
The honor recognizes the development of an information technology tool that helps physicians practice medicine, teach medicine, or pursue clinical research and comes with a $5,000 award.
Dr. Andrew Chu received this award for co-creating a pair of mobile apps with his fellow HTL director Dr. Jared Conley. The apps – MGH ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – are designed to be used by clinicians for cardiac resuscitation at the bedside.
