HUB Week: Technology & Medicine — A Digital Health Fair
As part of Boston’s 2015 HUBweek, the Healthcare Transformation Lab at Mass General hosted a Digital Health Fair on October 8th. The Digital Health Fair brought together over 200 people – developers, designers, entrepreneurs, engineers, and clinicians — all with incredible passion for solving healthcare problems. The showcase highlighted 20 emerging technology companies and organizations helping to drive change in the healthcare system. Participants were able to see first-hand how technology and medicine are teaming up to revolutionize healthcare in Boston and around the globe.
As part of the event, students from Arts for Humanity – a group whose mission is to bridge economic, racial and social division by providing urban youth with the keys to self-sufficiency through paid employment in art and design – discussed the question ‘What does Healthcare Transformation means to you?’ with event attendees and then incorporated what they heard into a large mural.
From mobile devices to wearables and data analytics, there are so many ways people are working to improve the value and experience of healthcare. Thank you to all the companies who participated in the Digital Health Fair, to our sponsors Deloitte and to our hosts Alexandria Real Estate. We look forward to next year’s HUBweek!
