The Healthcare Transformation Lab is pleased to announce the inaugural year of the MGH HTL Fellowship in Healthcare Innovation, made possible by generous support from the Aetna Foundation. This year’s fellows are Dr. Jocelyn Carter, MD, MPH and Dr. Yanik J. Bababekov, MD, MPH.
A practicing internal medicine hospitalist at MGH, Dr. Carter has experience in the research and development of novel approaches to caring for high risk patients and a passion for cost-effective initiatives, outcomes research, and healthcare information technology informing the future of healthcare.
Dr. Bababekov is a surgical resident at MGH and has a specialty focus on designing better tools and processes for liver issues. He is passionate about bridging health services research with healthcare innovation and has been recognized as Top 40 under 40 Healthcare Innovator by MedTech Boston.
The 12-month action-learning places fellows at the intersection of clinical medicine and innovation of care delivery where they will lead care delivery innovation projects in an academic medical center with mentorship from experts in the field as well as support from senior leadership. Ultimately, the program aims to develop the next generation of healthcare leaders with the skills and passion to drive sustainable healthcare improvement and benefit vulnerable patient populations.
